Mihlali Ndamase Claps Back at Tweeps
Mihlali Ndamase is not here for anyone criticising her after she landed a cameo role in “Generations: The Legacy”.
On Sunday, 13 March, entertainment commentator Phil Mphela revealed that the 25-year-old YouTuber/businesswoman will make a cameo appearance on the popular SABC1 soapie.
Needless to say, many people were unimpressed with the news, and they took to Twitter to air their grievances about it.
“Y’all are endorsing nonsense really, there are people who went to school for this [who] are more deserving of these roles,” wrote user Dumisane. “They invested money to turn their families around and … Mihlali just get [sic] roles because they are social media darlings and you guys cheer them on every time.”
“Every year we have more than 5 000 kids graduating for this and you busy [sic] handing out roles just because they are social media influencers?” complained Ntokozo_dla23.
In response, an unbothered Ndamase quoted rapper Drake: “As my husband once said, ‘B, this is fame, not clout’.”
She then followed up with: “You can be mad all you want, oksalayo.”
Well, here’s hoping Ndamase’s upcoming cameo will go down swell with viewers.
